Keeping your weight in control during the holidays and still having a good time could be a tough task for many. In fact study shows that those who are less active or who feel hungrier are most likely to gain weight during the holidays. There are a few holiday weight loss tips which you could follow and achieve weight loss in the holidays instead of the reverse.

The first and most important holiday weight loss tip is to stay active during the holidays by following a normal schedule and routine. This can be made interesting by including hobbies such as shopping in huge malls or redecorating your room or house, as these activities not only lift your spirits but also provide a good form of exercise. The second holiday weight loss tip is to avoid going hungry. Even when you are invited for a party, it would be sensible to have a small healthy snack before leaving for the party as this would keep you from overeating. Try and have a sumptuous breakfast with protein to avoid binging and eating junk food throughout the day.

The third holiday weight loss tip would be to stay away from heavy, oily, greasy and unhealthy food as far as possible. If you could practice this the question of overindulgence would not arise. You could try including seasonal varieties of fruits and fresh salads in your diet to keep yourself from feeling hungry and these healthy options would serve to increase your rate of metabolism as well.

The fourth holiday weight loss tip is to try and wear clothes which are tight on you as they will motivate you to lose weight and will probably help you feel full faster thus preventing you from overindulging yourself. The last but most important holiday weight loss tip is to keep small food portions instead of eating large and heavy meals as this would help you in your weight loss plan without having to diet or skip food which are nutritious.
